Trail Maintenance, Construction and Renovation - Park Natural Areas

Request for Quotations

The City of Surrey invites contractors to provide a quotation for:
Trail Maintenance, Construction and Renovation - Park Natural Areas

General Information
The work shall consist of the maintenance and construction or renovation of natural area trails found in forests, meadows or shrub lands.  Maintenance includes the repair of tread surfaces, 'blowing' of leaves in the fall, and the shearing, mowing or pruning of vegetation adjacent to the trail.  Construction is the installation of a new trail through a natural area such as a meadow or forest, whereas renovation is the replacement or expansion of the tread surface on an existing trail.

Note:  Portions of this work may be awarded to more than one contractor.

The majority of the work program will be determined well in advance; a small portion of the work will be 'on demand' as work arises.  The contractor will be supplied with a list and maps of trails that require the various types of work.
