Request for Quotations

The City invites Quotations from experienced and qualified Contractors for the provision of everything required including all skilled labour, tools, materials, equipment for Water Meter Maintenance Services and any other requirements.

Specifications of Goods and Scope of Services
The work will consist of performing repairs to the City's residential and commercial water meters under program work and demand work.  The contractor may be required to replace existing meters and perform water meter testing works to various City meters.

A.  Water Meter Maintenance Program
The City anticipates than on an annual basis approximately 1100 positive displacement meters will experience read difficulties and require maintenance to address one or more of maintenance items.

B.  Demand Water Meter Maintenance
The City also anticipates than on an annual basis approximately 250 emergency/demand repairs will be required on the City's 61,000 water meters.

C.  Water Meter Testing
Testing is preferred to be undertaken in the field, but in certain circumstances would be required to be done in a test lab.  A certified meter tester will be required to undertake all meter testing.

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at (the "BC Bid Website") and the City Website at (the "City Website") that will form part of this RFQ. It is the responsibility of Contractor to check the BC Bid Website and the City Website for addenda. The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor. By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.

All inquiries related to this Request for Quotation ("RFQ") should be directed in writing to the contact person named below.
