Traffic Management Centre

Real Time Traffic Management

The Traffic Management Centre (TMC) is an important tool the City uses to control congestion throughout Surrey. We operate Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm.

We use over 400 traffic cameras across Surrey to:

  • proactively control traffic signal timing to keep traffic moving
  • see where accidents happen and give priority to detour routes
  • keep traffic moving around construction to avoid congestion

Traffic monitoring is just one part of improving transportation in Surrey. Find out more about how we’re making transportation work for everyone.

Connect with the TMC

Follow @SurreyTraffic for up-to-date traffic alerts from 6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday through Friday. We’ll also tweet updates on how we’re working to make roads in Surrey safer and moving efficiently.

Explore the Traffic Camera Network

The City of Surrey has a network of over 400 traffic cameras across the city. Clicking on a traffic camera icon in the map will show an up-to-the-minute image of Surrey traffic from that camera, or explore other tranportation maps.

The Traffic Management Centre has policies and procedures in place to adhere to the legislative requirements of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPPA).

Request Traffic Camera Footage

You may request a copy of video footage that may have been recorded from one of Surrey’s traffic cameras. The fee for fulfilling traffic camera video footage requests is $360.00 plus tax.
