October 10, 2018: Due to a notice by Fortis BC to request customers to reduce natural gas usage following a natural gas pipeline rupture near Prince George, BC, the City will be making changes at all civic facilities to reduce energy use. The City will be lowering temperatures in all civic facilities, effective immediately. Facilities with pools will also have pool temperatures lowered. 

Please check the Fortis BC website for updates. We appreciate your understanding.

February 4 to March 13, 2019: Grandview Heights Aquatic Centre will be closed for scheduled maintenance. The weight room will remain open. We apologize for any inconvenience and encourage patrons to visit other indoor pools during this time.

    Ice - Zone A:  Public Skate is for everyone to come and enjoy. All ages and abilities are welcome. Helmets are mandatory for children 12 years and under.

Located in the middle of the South Surrey Athletic Park, South Surrey Arena is surrounded by forests and athletic fields. This facility is also 1 of 2 Olympic-sized rinks in the Lower Mainland.

We offer skating lessons and hockey programs for all ages. South Surrey Arena also offers rentals for ice and room bookings.

Helmet Regulations

CSA certified hockey, ski or snowboard helmets are mandatory for anyone participating in Learn to Skate lessons. Bike helmets are not permitted as they do not offer the protection needed for ice skating.
